Gran Premio Nuvolari

The Gran Premio Nuvolari is a prestigious annual regularity rally for historic cars, held in honor of the legendary Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari. The event traces its roots back to four original editions held in the 1950s, organized as a tribute to Nuvolari shortly after his racing career ended. After those early races came to a close, the event was revived in 1991 in Mantua—Nuvolari’s birthplace—transforming into one of the world’s most celebrated classic car rallies, where heritage and motorsport tradition blend seamlessly.

The 2025 edition will mark the 35th modern running of the Gran Premio Nuvolari and will take place from September 18th to 21st. Starting from Mantua, the rally will cover around 1,100 kilometers across three stages, winding through some of Italy’s most picturesque regions including Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, and San Marino. Competitors and their historic cars will pass through stunning cities such as Siena, Arezzo, Ferrara, Rimini, and Ravenna, with highlights including time trials on iconic tracks like the Modena circuit.

In addition to its competitive and cultural appeal, the Gran Premio Nuvolari also embraces sustainability through its “Nuvolari Green” initiative. Launched in 2020, this program aims to reduce the rally’s environmental impact by offsetting emissions with tree planting, limiting plastic waste, and providing reusable water bottles and refill stations for participants and staff. This focus on combining motorsport history with environmental responsibility makes the event not only a celebration of classic cars and Italian landscapes but also a forward-thinking example for future generations.
